What are B Corps?

What are B Corps?

B Corps Certified™ are companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability, that have undergone a verification process with B Lab™, and that are publicly and legally committed to a process of continuous improvement of their impact.

They comply with the requirement of legal responsibility to protect their purpose, making a legal commitment to benefit not only shareholders, but also all the company's stakeholders: workers, customers, communities and the environment.

They are not perfect, but they are committed to accountability, transparency and continuous improvement. Together, they are part of a global movement working for an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economic system.

What does the "B" stand for?

B stands for Benefit for all.

B stands for Benefit for all: workers, communities, customers and the planet.

Declaration of Interdependence

At the time of certification, all B Corps™ sign the Declaration of Interdependence, committing to embody the values of the B Corp community and to work towards our collective vision of Business as a Force for Good.

What makes the B Corp Certification unique from other certifications

The B Corp Certification, awarded by B Lab, not only validates that a company meets high standards of social, environmental and transparency performance, but also reflects its long-term commitment to positive impact and continuous improvement.

Unlike other certifications, the B Corp Certification is not only of a process or a product, but stands out for its ability to measure the integral social and environmental impact of a company, ensuring that this impact is taken into account in all business decisions and incorporated into the company's bylaws.

About the Impact Assessment (BIA)

The B Impact Assessment™ (BIA) evaluates how the company's operations and business model impact its workers, community, environment and customers. From its supply chain and inputs to its governance and employee policies and benefits, B Corp Certification demonstrates that the company meets high standards of verified performance.

The BIA provides a comprehensive and objective measure of a company's positive impact on society and the environment through a customized set of questions that reflect impact indicators, best practices and results. The company receives a composite score on a 200-point scale representative of its overall impact on its workers, communities and the environment.

Let's talk about Triple Bottom Line

By Triple Bottom Line we mean that business success is defined by financial, social and environmental performance metrics.

This means that decision-making processes and business incentives take into account all stakeholders, not just shareholders.
