B Corporations for Climate in 2024 and 2025
The B Corporations for Climate and Nature Program will be implemented for the first time in Chile in 2024, and was also implemented in Colombia in 2025, impacting more than 200 B Corporations, 94 of which have committed to concrete climate actions, with a satisfaction rate of 9.44 out of 10 among participating companies.
Companies have made progress in measuring their carbon footprint, setting science-based targets, and developing climate action plans, focusing primarily on the Climate Action standard. In 2026, the standard will be expanded to include Environmental Management and Circularity, and all B Corporations in Latin America and the Caribbean are invited to participate.

Considerations
- Participation in the program does not guarantee certification or recertification as a B Corporation, nor does it guarantee explicit compliance with the requirements associated with the Impact Themes.
- The program provides tools to understand and integrate the B Lab Standards V2, helping to strengthen the company's management to ensure alignment with them.
- The role of Sistema B and the B-Corporation mentors is to provide training, guidance, and support in understanding the standards for implementation, without interfering in the final certification decision. The audit and certification processes are conducted by an independent third-party provider.
- System B guarantees that sensitive technical and emissions data shared by companies will be treated as strictly confidential and will only be used in aggregate form for impact reporting purposes, unless the company authorizes its publication as a success story.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the “B Companies for Climate and Nature” program?
It is a regional collaborative initiative designed to help B Corporations in Latin America and the Caribbean understand and integrate the new B Lab Standards on Climate Action (CA) and Environmental Management and Circularity (EMC).
Is there a cost to participate?
No. As part of Movimiento B's value proposition for its business community, the program is offered completely free of charge to participating companies.
Does participation in the program guarantee certification (or recertification) as a B Corporation?
No. The program provides training and technical guidance to help you align your management practices with the standards, but it does not influence or guarantee the final certification decision, which is made by an independent provider.
What kinds of modules or challenges can I choose?
The program focuses on two major technical modules: Climate Action or Environmental Management and Circularity. Within these modules, you’ll be able to select a practical challenge to tackle with the support of B Corporations serving as mentors.
What is the support like during the program?
In addition to the technical training sessions, you’ll have access to biweekly hands-on mentoring sessions led by B Corporations, organized based on your organization’s size or sector. You’ll also have access to a one-on-one session with a mentor to address specific questions, as well as a WhatsApp group and a platform online to send your questions.
What recognition do companies that complete the challenge receive?
Companies that have made tangible progress by the end of the program (October) will be eligible for visibility on Sistema B’s social media channels and to participate in special prize drawings.
Can I participate in more than one module?

We recommend choosing just one challenge so you can focus your efforts and make tangible progress. If you'd like to choose two, that's fine as long as they're from different modules.
How am I assigned to the challenge?
Based on the preference you indicated on the registration form and the availability of mentors, Sistema B will assign you to a specific challenge during the first few weeks of August
How long do the online sessions last?
Webinars last 1.5 hours, and mentoring sessions last 1 hour.
Can I purchase a paid service from a Company B mentor?
Yes, but only after the program ends.
What happens if I can't complete my challenge?
It doesn't matter; the important thing is that you attend the sessions and demonstrate your concrete progress at the end of the program.
